Arumat also has super-strength, granted to him by genetic modification. Arumat has also shown tremendous resistance to mind control, when the Grigori attempted to take control of his mind, Arumat fiercely threw it off, telling it that the screams of his brethren ring too loudly in his ears for this to effect him.
Arumat's last ability is to teleport short distances. In the game there is a mechanic called blindsiding, which is a characters unique ability to get behind an enemy. Arumat's is to slide in a direction, and to disappear and reappear behind the enemy.
Personality:
I can sum up Arumat's most common exchange in the game in four characters. Are you ready? “....” The Eldarian is an incredibly reserved person, seemingly uninterested in the people around him and spends a lot of time silently biding over his thoughts. His inner monologue is hinted at somewhere between: “You are all inferior beings” and “My comrades are dead, lets brood upon this and use the fire to keep moving.”
All jokes aside, Arumat has a tortured history which leads to his belief that he is Death incarnate. Every person who has ever served with Arumat has died. This has taken it's toll on the Eldarian, he believes that fraternal relationships are useless as they are often short lived. It is clear to the observer that Arumat's experience of having his comrades taken from him has effect his belief in these relationships, even if it is not apparent to him.
Arumat is cold and ruthless, explaining to Faize, a fellow Eldarian that his home world had been swallowed by it's red sun with no care for the boys feelings. Faize was clearly visibly breaking down, and Arumat waded through his explanation with little remorse and no stopping. This coldness is his shield against new people, and allows him to fuel the 'fire' that keeps him running.
After Arumat's platoon was killed under his command, Arumat dedicated himself fiercely to vengeance, even going so far as to genetically modify himself to become the perfect weapon. However, this dedication has it's downside, he gave himself a degenerative muscle disease which will kill him in time. His attitude to his death is welcoming. “Death itself has nothing to fear” is his mantra in battle. The reason he welcomes his death is that he believes he was fighting for his fallen comrades, the more Phantoms he kills, the more 'fire' he has to continue on his quest to eradicate them from the planet. Once the phantoms are finished, he flees the newly colonised planet.
His ending from the game shows him saving random earthlings on an unknown planet. He saves one and remarks that he likes earthlings, before continuing to save the first earthlings comrade. This shows that there has been a slight shift in his personality post-game, which is revealed in earlier private actions, that if you really persist to drill down at his cold exterior, you can penetrate it and get some warm reaction from him. After Edge's constant persistence before the final battle, Arumat concedes to his Edge that he'll be his friend, as long as he accepts that Arumat wishes to die. Arumat also shows this kind of dedication to Crowe, Edges rival, who we first see Arumat arrive with after is very brief introduction in the early game.
Once you have proven yourself capable to Arumat, he will interact with you somewhat more warmly. Which unfortunately brings him up to chilly. He will still be short and straightforward with you, but perhaps his tone will be a little more relaxed and he'll be less bitter, still bitter, but less so. This is shown with the private actions you have in game with Arumat, he starts out being openly hostile to Edge, but later becomes impressed with his swordsmanship and his earthlingness about things.
Arumat is also not a fan of being touched, as shown in one particularly amusing cutscene, Meracle, the resident catgirl, is trapped under some boxes. Out of guilt, Arumat lets her free, to which she reacts like any lesser fellpool would, skipping around Arumat's legs and jumping up to kiss him on the cheek. He yells at her, asking what the hell she thinks she's doing. Edge quickly arrives to cool the situation, explaining it's just a way of saying thank you, and jokingly takes the position as if he's going to do it too. Well, lemme tell you. Arumat was not happy by that, and shoves Edge into the pile of boxes that Meracle was trapped under.

History: Here Is Arumat's own history, which is kinda short. SO here is the Storyline too. It's even broken down into bite size chunks!
First Person Sample:
Tch.
[Arumat wakes up and tosses a handful of silver strands of hair out of his face. That had been a rough night. Even by his standards. He swings his legs over the bed and stands. He reaches for his scythe which wasn't in it's usual position of right where he needed it. That's what caused his yellow eyes to open with a snap.
He turned very sharply to look for it. He sees it, and if he were the type to look relieved he would look relieved right now. He picks up the scythe, tapping the end on the floor. The signature purple blade pops out of it, Which quickly turns to three as he whirls it around, checking for damage.
He looked out of his window, noting that he wasn't where he went to sleep, nor was he on lemuris. His cold eyes narrow as he steps out of the door, wanting to find what had lead him here, and turn it into a bloody smear.]
Third Person Sample:
Arumat had simply had enough. There was being trapped somewhere you could not escape, and there was being trapped somewhere you could not escape with earthlings. His recent change of heart when it came to the matter of these creatures had weighed on his mind. Perhaps he was wrong. Perhaps it was only Edge and Crowe and the girl, Reimi who were decent to be around. He let out a breath.
He stood and moved outside. The outside had a much wider space, perfect for training. He released the blade, he took his stance and swung the scythe, going through the motions, allowing the fire within him to take over. He fought ferociously, throwing in symbols and unique attacks into his combinations.
The last attack brought down with crushing weight. He smiled- no, smirked. He placed the scythe over his shoulder as he walked down to the trees. He sat down, admiring the burn marks in the ground, coupled with the unsettled earth that he had caused. Battle was the one thing that kept him going, and even while he was trapped in this place? He would battle every day.

Notes:
Arumat is... kind of quiet. So I apologise for his Samples @_@
Bonus:
I picked Arumat because he's an asshole. VERY different to what I brought here the first time. I think he'll fit in by not fitting in.
Also Dubs convinced me.
